For their first trip of the season, the Blazers have imposed themselves against the Clippers (134-106) behind a huge offensive performance by Damian Lillard, author of 35 points in 26 minutes.
Already hot in the first half, with 22 points on the clock, the leader completed his best match of the preseason in the third quarter before allowing the substitutes to finish the job.
Damian Lillard was able to count on 20 points from CJ McCollum and 16 units for Moe Harkless, perfect from start to finish with 6/6 shots, 2/2 to 3 points and 2/2 to the throws. Caleb Swanigan (5 points, 4 rebounds) did not play against Blake Griffin (15 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds).
The Clippers simply lacked inspiration, conceding in particular 20 lost balloons, with a Milos Teodosic 15 points to 5/12 shots.
Without an offensive option apart from Griffin and Teodosic, the Californian lose the game despite a double double of DeAndre Jordan (12 points, 14 rebounds).
Far from being assured of a spot in the Blazers, Archie Goodwin has in any case illustrated with a monstrous dunk at the end of the game. The rookie, Zach Collins, also finished strong with 12 points to 4/6 shots.
