Boston Celtics 102-92 Philadelphia Sixers




 Kyrie Irving scored 21 points, pivot Al Horford scored 17 and added nine rebounds in the Boston Celtics' 92-102 win over the Philadelphia Sixers.
For the Celtics it was their first win since losing Gordon Hayward in the season-opener with left ankle fracture, an injury that could cost him the season.

Horford played 36 minutes, scored 5 of 16 field shots, including 3 of 7 3-points, was perfect in the 4-for-4 ranks and delivered three assists. Jayson Tatum added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Boston team. For the Sixers J.J. Redick had 19 points, Jerryd Bayless had 18 points and Robert Covington had 12 points.
