Chicago Bulls 112-119 Cleveland Cavaliers

Still deprived of Derrick Rose and Isaiah Thomas, the coach of the Cavaliers had decided to start the meeting with LeBron James as playmaker and Tristan Thompson as pivot. With 34 points and 12 assists, the quadruple MVP has responded present and released a beautiful thorn to his franchise. Embarrassed by the address of their opponents in the first period, the Cavs showed a better face in the return of the locker room to finally win in pain (119-112).
Cleveland is not determined to defend early in the game. Chicago could not have dreamed of trusting the image of Lauri Markkanen (19 points at 5/8 with 3 points and 8 rebounds) that seems to be better and better, match after match. Released in this early meeting, the idol of the Finnish people during the last Euro benefits from the defensive largesse of Kevin Love to score two baskets in a row 3-point and allow his team to create a first gap in this meeting, and force Read to take a time out.

Very disappointing for a week, "Flash" dies to silence the critics. It shows and he brings back his team (38-32). Cleveland is better, but Kay Felder (13 points) makes the show in this first half. The leader of pocket game (1m75), drafted by the Cavaliers in 2016, shines brightly in this second quarter. Thanks to him, Chicago continues to lead the race and undermine the defense of Ohio players (37-44). Tyronn Lue is trying out several options to get his team to regain confidence in their game. After starting the game at the end, LeBron James finds himself defending on Felicio on the pivot post. This configuration allows the King to walk in attack, and continue to carry his in this first period (57-51). Opposite, Lauri Markkanen does not miss the 3-pointer, and gives a considerable lead to Chicago (62-54).

But LeBron, still him, already plant his 23rd points of the match to limit the breakage (68-65).Cleveland raises the tone and Chicago has more trouble. Thanks to Jae Crowder, JR Smith and of course LeBron, the Cavs inflict 11-0 to the Bulls (81-72). It is thought that Cleveland, invigorated by this very good start of 3rd quarter, will unfold and dominate his opponent. But as against Spurs two days ago, Fred Hoiberg's men are showing great determination. Once again, Justin Holiday (25 points) is in shape. The back of the Bulls, led to responsibilities in the near future, shows some very nice things. Thanks to him, the Bulls remain in contact (88-85), while Denzel Valentine and Quincy Pondexter at the very end of a quarter-time will even put Chicago ahead. At the beginning of the money time, Cleveland is behind (92-91).
