Chandler Parson scored 24 points as the leader of the Memphis Grizzlies, who beat the Houston Rockets 103-89.

Mario Chalmers, who also came off the bench with 15 points and Tyreke Evans added 14 for the Memphis team, who had only one starter, Jarell Martin, with a double-digit score with 10. Marc Gasol scored six points in 32 minutes of action by scoring 1 of 8 field shots, 4 of 6 from the lineup, scoring seven rebounds and five assists.
The Rockets (5-2), who suffered their first away defeat as a visiting team (4-1), were led by Ryan Anderson, who contributed 22 points. James Harden scored 20 and Clint Capela doubled with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Brazilian reserve center Nené Hilario scored four points in 15 minutes on the pitch by scoring 2 of 5 field shots, bounced back and delivered an assist.
