Jeff Teague scored 1 of 2 free with 12 seconds left by the end of regulation time and steal the win for the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-116 over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
For the Timberwolves is (3-3), Teague finished with double-double of 17 points and 10 assists that left him as the winning leader. But the leading scorer again was US center-forward Karl-Anthony Towns, who also managed to double-double 33 points and 19 rebounds.
Towns played 36 minutes, scored 12 of 24 field shots, including 1 of 4 3-pointers, and 8-of-9 from the lineup that made him a key player as well. Jimmy Butler had 25 points and seven assists for the Minnesota team. The Thunder (2-3) had top scorer Russell Westbrook, who had 27 points and nine assists. Carmelo Anthony and Paul George each got 23 points for the Thunder, who still do not maintain consistency in their game. Alex Abrines was without scoring in eight minutes of game, did not obtain rebounds, nor gave assists.
