LaMarcus Aldridge had a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds in the San Antonio Spurs' 77-87 victory over the Chicago Bulls, who had the opening game of the new season in their field.
Reserve Rudy Gay scored 12 points and Spanish center Pau Gasol scored 10 in 20 minutes on the pitch. Gasol hit 3 of 8 field shots, 4 of 5 from Free Throw line , took seven rebounds and delivered four assists. Argentine reserve guard Manu Ginóbili collaborated with five points in 23 minutes scoring 2 of 7 field shots, 1 of 2 from the lineup, achieved a rebound and delivered three assists.
The Bulls, who could not start the season at home with a win, were led by Robin López with 16 points, Justin Holiday scored 15 and Lauri Markannen contributed a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Brazilian forward Cristiano Felicio scored two points in 18 minutes of action by scoring 1 of 3 field goals, six rebounds and two assists.
