The Los Angeles Lakers needed an extension to beat the Washington Wizards by 99-102 and add their first win in the current season of the NBA. They achieved it thanks to a good team work that allowed up to five players of the California franchise to end double digits in scoring.
Brandon Ingram (19 points and 10 rebounds) and Larry Nance (18 points and 10 rebounds) were decisive in the Lakers' attacks. Especially scored against the ring was Nance, with a large 80% in field shots (8 of 10). In addition, Kyle Kuzma (15 points), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (14) and Julius Randle (11 and 9 rebounds) seconded their teammates to perfection. On the part of those of Washington excelled the work of a Bradley Beal that went until the 28 points. In addition, Marcin Gortat seized the hoops and finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Also notable were John Wall (18 points and 9 assists), Otto Porter Jr. (12 points) and Jodie Meeks (11).
The Wizards had a victory at the end of regulation time, but an Ingram slap in an offensive rebound seven tenths from the end of the game ended up forcing the overtime. In the Over Time, the Lakers took the victory to add their second victory of the season (2-2) and, at the same time, to make that the box of defeats of Washington (3-1) debuts.
