Kyrie Irving scored 22 of his 25 points in the second half of the game that were decisive for the victory of the Boston Celtics (94-101) against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Celtics (7-2) recovered from a disadvantage of 18 points to get their seventh consecutive win. The center Al Horford scored 17 of his 20 points in the second period and Jaylen Brown added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Celtics. Horford played 34 minutes, scored 8 of 10 field goals, including 4 of 4 triples, eight rebounds and four assists.
The Thunder (4-4) were led by Paul George, who managed a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds; baseman Russell Westbrook also got a double-double of 19 points and 11 assists, and Carmelo Anthony finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
