Golden State Warriors 88-92 Boston Celtics

Kyrie Irving had to take off the protective mask to lead the comeback of the Boston Celtics who won 92-88  the Golden State Warriors, in the duel of conference leaders, and achieved the fourteenth consecutive victory.
Irving, who had not had his best inspiration encestadora in the first part, took off the mask that protected the face of the fracture suffered last week, and everything changed for good. The star base of the Celtics was in charge of scoring the decisive points that completed the comeback of the Boston team (14-2) that were down 17 points, but with their win they still have the best record in the league. Irving, who contributed 16 points, including 11 in the fourth period, six assists and five rebounds, got the four goals from the line of personnel, that with 1:17 minutes left to the end they gave the Celtics 88 -88 and 90-88.While the rookie forward Jayson Tatum, with 14 seconds to play, also from the line of personnel, secured the victory with the last two goals of the match.

Former forward Kevin Durant and star point guard Stephen Curry had missed two shots by the Warriors, who broke a seven-game winning streak. Until Irving's inspiration came, guard Jaylen Brown, another of the Celtics' biggest revelations so far this season, scored 22 points with seven rebounds, and led the list of the five starters who had double-digit numbers. The center pivot Al Horford again became also the key player in defensive actions and within the paint to provide a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Horford, who won the match against the Warriors' top men, played 35 minutes in which he scored 7 of 11 field goals, the four that failed were triple attempts, and hit 4-4 from the personnel line. The Dominican international center got double-double for the second consecutive game, for the second time so far this season, something he could not achieve once in the past. The Celtics defense was once again decisive at the time of the victory and this time it was better than the average of 94.5 points that had allowed the rival teams so far, the best record in the NBA.But against the Warriors, who came to the game with an average of 119.6 points scored per game, they did even better and left the current NBA champions with the lowest score they have had so far this season.

Given the excellent defense of the Celtics, only Durant, who contributed 24 points, three rebounds and three assists, responded with good production that left him as the maximum encestador. But the rest of the Warriors' starters, including Curry, did not respond in the same way, and that cost them the loss. The guard Klay Thompson reached 13 points, seven rebounds and gave up three assists, while power forward Draymond Green scored 11 points, captured eight balls under the hoops and gave five touchdown passes. Curry, who returned to action after missing a concussion game on his right thigh, proved ineffective throughout the game when he finished with nine points after shooting 3 of 14 field goals, including 2 of 9 triples, six rebounds, He distributed five assists and recovered four balls in 31 minutes. The combination of Curry, Durant and Thompson left them with 7 baskets of 26 field goals in the first half, but their 14 points in the fast serves allowed them to go into the break with the partial advantage of 42-47.
