With a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds, Anthony Davis was instrumental in the New Orleans Pelicans' 90-96 victory over the Chicago Bulls.
The Pelicans (5-5), who traveled to the Bulls United Center field, improved to 4-2 in games as a visiting team. The New Orleans team broke a losing streak of six consecutive regular-season games against the Bulls. Center DeMarcus Cousins added a double-double of 25 points, 18 of them before halftime, and 11 rebounds, and reserve Jameer Nelson scored 13 for the Pelicans, who got 40 percent (35 of 87) of their shots of field.
The Bulls (2-6) had Justin Holiday as their leading scorer, who approached a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Denzel Valentine added 16 points and the Brazilian center Cristiano Felicio, who also left the bench, had no production.
