DeMar De Rozanwas the most important element to help the Toronto Raptors to win against the New Orleans Pelicans by 118-122 in a day in which Serge Ibaka was also decisive.
The 33 points of DeRozan in 36 minutes of play, also supported by 8 assists, were too heavy a slab for a Pelicans that were not able to stop any of the three struts of the Toronto team. And, in addition, Kyle Lowry contributed 18 points from a direction of play accompanied by 7 assists and by 6 rebounds.
But neither inside was comfortable the defense of some Pelicans that could not stop Serge Ibaka. The Spaniard finished with 19 points and 8 rebounds in 30 minutes of play to become an indispensable factor for the 'raptor' victory. Ibaka, in addition, had a good percentage in the shooting (8/14 in field shots), shined with three triples in six attempts and contributed two plugs to round out his contribution. Before this combination, the 34 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists of Jrue Holiday remained in anecdote on the part of the Pelicans. The quintet of the New Orleans shone, but the contribution of the bench was not too positive. Along with Holiday, an outstanding DeMarcus Cousins signed 20 points and 15 rebounds, while Anthony Davis stayed in 18 points and 7 captures under the hoops. The 13 points of E'Twaun Moore and the 11 of Dante Cunningham were also outstanding. After this game, the Raptors are among the most outstanding teams in the East, in which they accumulate 7 wins and 4 losses in fourth place. On the other hand, the Pelicans accumulate 6 wins and as many lost games and are ninth in the west.
