Boston Celtics 99-102 Cleveland Cavaliers

This first game of the regular season will have offered the whole palette of emotions. From the horror of Gordon Hayward's injury to the enthusiasm of a late game and a final shot of Kyrie Irving who could have been the hero of the Celtics against LeBron James. But Cleveland (102-99) is behind the King, who triumphs once again with a triple double (29 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists).
He was expecting this one, but Kyrie Irving was in the process of moderating. LeBron James hosts Jayson Tatum in the NBA with one cons while Jaylen Brown is very tense for his duel with the quadruple MVP. But even after a ball bear and a sophomore missed dunk, Boston is in front (10-9) in a tense early start.
Kyrie Irving on the bench to begin the climb, Brad Stevens recalls his defector to make him put on the costume of "King in the Fourth", made famous by Isaiah Thomas. And it works because the leader succeeds three outside shots and Boston takes the lead (87-84) as the end of the match gets closer.

But LeBron remains LeBron, even though he missed most of the pre-season games. After an outside shot, he gets closer to the circle and steals a ball to Marcus Smart. On the next action, he draws the hold to two and serves Kevin Love. This 7-0 puts the Cavaliers ahead, and if Kyrie Irving has the opportunity to snatch the extra time to the buzzer, his shot is finally too short. The leader offers a nice image by chaining in his stride his usual handshake with his former teammate, but it is indeed the latter who offers the final word in this opening match.
